Founded in 2026, the LASA Orchestra Booster Club is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit run entirely by volunteer parents of students in the LASA Orchestra program (Austin, TX). We exist to support the orchestra's students, parents, and teachers — keeping participation costs low and program quality high.
Fund and staff concerts, socials, and student events throughout the year (Fall & Winter Concerts, Spring Finale, Region Orchestra, UIL, and more)
Coordinate volunteer shifts across concerts, auditions, and uniform logistics
Run the annual Fair Share campaign to help offset program costs
Organize the annual Spring Banquet honoring graduating seniors
Partner directly with LASA's Orchestra Director on annual budgeting and program planning
LASA Orchestra is a competitive, multi-ensemble program — Honors, Chamber, Camerata A, and Camerata B — that performs and competes at every level, from UIL Concert & Sight-Reading and Solo & Ensemble to Region 18 Orchestra and All-City Orchestra, with students consistently recognized as TSSEC Outstanding Performers and named to Region 18 ensembles. This year's LASA Showcase featured the world premiere of an original student-commissioned arrangement for piano and string orchestra. Our graduating seniors go on to top programs nationwide — UT Austin, Yale, Northeastern, Williams, UIUC, and more — many citing full orchestra performances and the community built through the program as defining parts of their high school experience.
In May 2026, our Spring Banquet brought together LASA Orchestra families to celebrate this graduating class — fully covering its own costs and raising additional funds for the following season. Behind the scenes, our Executive Board works hand-in-hand with the Orchestra Director each year on program budgeting, uniform upkeep, and event planning, and our student officer team helps lead orchestra camp and welcome new students each fall.
